Arriving at the beach, she reflected on her life.

Thanks to Barbara W Beachman for starting Monday’s Finish the Story. Monday’s Finish the Story provides a picture along with the first sentence for us to create a flash fiction with 100 -150 words based on a picture.

Arriving at the beach, she reflected on her life.

She laid down on the sand while the waves gently lulled her to sleep. When she woke, the most breathtaking creature she ever saw was staring at her his eyes were chilling, malevolent and vivid green. A low, rumbling growl come from deep inside his broad chest she gave him a small half-smile. His eyes began to flicker with interest. The water dragons came once a year to the beach to walk among the humans and today she found one. If only she could find this one every year.

Oh that’s fascinating. I like your description of the water dragon. Very vivid. Perhaps you could write more about these creatures in the future.
